A warm welcome was given by Shaun &Jean.The room was very comfortable clean and spacious.The breakfast was the best we had in a long time .Parking was available close by and the station, shops and park were on the doorstep.Thanks Shaun and Jean we will be back 😃

Have been to this guest house previously.Excellent location, perfect for the railway station and within easy reach of TheLakes by road.Have no complaints at all about this guest house.Food very good and the hosts try hard to please - nothing too much trouble.Would definitely return.

We booked a four night stay at the Elton Gust House (Monday31st July till Friday 4th August). Our stay was great, lovley spacious room and the hosts Janet & Shaun were brilliant. I am Celiac and they went out of their way to make sure all was OK for me, i.e gluten free sausages and bread. They are a lovely couple and nothing is any trouble for them, Janet, even gave us a lift to Bowness and brough me some gluten free cakes, which was very kind indeed.We would have no hesitation in going back there beacuse we couldnt ask for anything more ( maybe not so much rain next time!).They are very welcomming and so easy to talk with and get along with.I would whole heartedly recommend Elton Guset house.Janet & Shaun - Thanks for our stay.Allen & Denise Howarth

I stayed in Room 2 for 2 nights on a Fri @ Sat night.The room was extremely comfortable, very clean and with excellent facilities.Breakfast was very tasty and with a super choice.I was well looked after during my stay.If I am ever in the area again I would have no hesitation of staying at Elton Guest House again.I highly recommend it to you!!Thank you for a wonderful stay!!

Very warm welcome from Jean and Shaun. Three splendid nights in our top floor bedroom. Spotless modern ensuite shower room. Super king size bed plus a comfortable 3-piece suite on which to relax after our fun filled days. Very convenient for restaurants in Cartmel, shops in Grange, and walks on the fells.Also visited two historic homes and gardens, and enjoyed a boat trip on Windermere. Elton highly recommended.

The guest house was lovely on a road that was sometimes busy and also quiet the rooms were good ours had a single and a double bed we were at the back of the house overlooking the garden were you could see squirrels in the trees there were bashers as well but never saw them the bathroom was good with a shower the breakfast was great there was cooked or you could have cereals or fruit and the owners couldn't do enough for you

We had a lovely 3 nights at this guest house, the hosts were lovely, beautiful breakfast and comfortable bedrooms, nothing was too much trouble. perfect base for Cartmel races and the Lakes. Will be staying again

Cracking little guest house In Grange ideally located to explore the surrounding area, very nice clean quality room and furnishings. Excellent breakfast, superb hosts highly recommended. To say the hosts haven’t been running the place for long they’ve taken to it like a duck to water. Keep doing what your doing can’t fault anything about the guesthouse or hosts A**********

I Highly recommend this Guest House and it’s hosts Jean and Shaun , I had a fantastic stay here in a beautiful spotlessly clean room with nice views over the garden watching birds and squirrels and hearing the odd Owl and thank you Jean for allowing me to view the badger who visits the garden every night from the dining room window . Breakfast was very tasty cooked by Shaun ,great produce and perfectly cooked poached egg . As Hosts Jean and Shaun couldn’t do enough for you and for me it felt like I was staying with family so very welcoming and chatty , my only criticism is I didn’t get to stay any longer lol but I will definitely be coming back again soon

Excellent location, clean, quiet, lovely shared sitting room, excellent breakfast. Warm hospitality. New owners finding their feet, very obliging and friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Elton Guest House. Immaculate facilities, superb breakfast, lovely hosts who will do anything to please, well done Jean and Sean.We liked the long flat promenade with magnificent views over Morecambe Bay, and enjoyed calling at the little cafe/snack bar half way along. The flower borders are superb, as is the Ornamental Gardens with its small lake and varied types of ducks and geese. Grange is on the side of the moorland hills, so there is naturally steep stretches of road, if your knees have seen better days, you may need to plan your routes and means of transport carefully.

We both had a lovely time and the hosts were really accommodating. Really recommend this Guest House.

Unusually this was a stay of two halves when we arrived, we were greeted by Liam &Lyn and found everything to be excellent after two days the ownership changed and we were greeted by Shaun & Joan who were new to the B&B industry, each couple kept us well informed of the changes taking place and maintained continuity.Shaun & Joan were wonderful to talk to and were open to suggestions from us to help with their new venture, hopefully they were useful.Elton guest house is centrally situated for exploring the area with plenty of facilities in Grange over Sands, one final thing the garden and bird tables are a delight, thank you for a great stay, Shaun and Joan.

Lynn and Liam were most welcoming when we arrived. Lynn gave us a map of the town and information on places to eat and parking. The room was very clean and had all that we needed in it.Breakfasts were excellent.All in all a very good place to stay.

A lovely stay as with previous visits. Lyn & Liam are excellent host, the property is ideally positioned to explore the surrounding area & the facilities/cleanliness are first rate. We shall return.

Lynn and Liam are wonderful hosts. They make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The room was bright and airy, king size bed extremely comfortable, The cooked breakfast was delicious - all locally sourced ingredients, all cooked to perfection. We particularly enjoyed the fruit salad and local yoghurt. Brilliant location as only minutes from railway station, buses, Ornamental Garden and prom. A real bonus for us was when Lynn called us to see the teenage badger tucking into peanuts in their garden, Many thanks for a wonderful weekend break, we'll be back hopefully in the autumn

Stayed for 2 nights as we we're booked in to do The Predator Experience nearby. I booked this guesthouse on the location and the reviews. The guesthouse is beautifully presented and we were made to feel very welcome. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the garden and had a lovely big bed. Lyn gave us a map of the town and showed us where everything was located which was lovely and a nice touch. The breakfast was fabulous with everything you could ask for, cereal, fresh fruit salad, fresh strawberries, yogurt and a lovely locally sourced breakfast which was cooked to perfection and really fills you up for the day. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and very comfortable and the hosts really look after you. If doesn't have it's own car park but there is a pay and display straight across the road but the guesthouse supplies you with a parking permit to display. This cost us £5 for our weekend stay so it's a bargain.The only negative for us is that dogs are not allowed but understand why not It is a perfect base for exploring and Windermere is a 20mins drive away. If we are back in Cumbria without our dogs then we would not hesitate to book here again as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Book this place if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. Sorry we missed seeing the badgers in the garden. Also recommend the little Greek restaurant/ cafe called Tyme Out. Beautiful food

Thank you Liam and Lynn for a very warm and friendly welcome. The rooms were extremely well equipped and comfortable and the breakfast was beautifully cooked and tasty. The choice of fruit, cereals and yogurt were a treat. The car parking across the road was so handy, but the icing on the cake was seeing the badger on Thursday night. We have got in our 70’s and never seen one before, so it was a WOW moment.We would definitely recommend Elton Guest House and if we come to Grange again we will definitely be staying there.

We had a lovely two night stay at Elton.Lynne the hostess was wonderful.Very friendly and helpful, she booked taxis for us and an evening meal at one of her favourite restaurants.Our double room was really comfortable with views over the rear garden, where we saw badgers each night coming down from the woods to feed.A really nice breakfast too - basically nothing was too much trouble and were made to feel special throughout our stay.

Grange-Over-Sands is massively underrated as a base to explore the Lakes and no nicer place to stay than at the Elton Guest House. This was my first time away since my partner passed away and Lyn, the proprietor, made me feel very welcome and at ease. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the area.

Had a wonderful relaxing stay. We met Lyn at the door she gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our spacious ,clean and comfortable room. The room was well equipped with plenty of tea /coffee and quiet. The breakfast was wonderful plenty to choose from. The cooked breakfast was made from quality produce and was delicious . Lyn was attentive and helpful. Will be back again and would recommend this guesthouse to friends and family.

Enjoyed two nights and was our first time staying here.Elton guest house is really nice and well kept, in a quiet location but near to the town so you can walk in to the shops etc in a few minutes.The room was great and breakfast had everything you could want.Lyn and Liam were great hosts, very helpful and giving their time for a chat and advice on where to go for walks, meals etc. We'll certainly be back there in the future when we visit Grange!

Ideally placed near Grange centre, this B and B offers a warm welcome, comfortable facilities, high standards of cleanliness and an excellent breakfast. Lyn and Liam were welcoming and friendly. Parking is on the main road. Would certainly return.

Very good room with a marvellous king-size bed. Breakfast was a highlight with a great range of fruit and the best cooked breakfast I've ever had. Poached eggs the best. Would definitely stay again.

Beautifully clean and kept, a charmingly delightful and peaceful guesthouse. The room was lovely, the enormous bed comfortable. Great situation from which to explore the surrounding area in a truly stunning village. I am running out of adjectives! The breakfast was amazing, a great way to start each day. Last but definitely not least, the hosts were friendly, easy going and a pleasure to chat to, willing to accommodate our every need and more than happy to give help and advice. Lyn and Liam run the Elton Guest House in a professional and orderly manner. However, this did not stop them from being very warm, friendly and welcoming. They went out of their way to make our stay great, even putting themselves out to obtain some vinegar to satisfy my husband's (strange) predilection to have vinegar with his breakfast The room was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb with a choice of fresh fruit, cereals and of course any variation of a fried breakfast you require. The stay was so much nicer and better value than staying in a hotel.

This is a beautiful guesthouse set in the peaceful and pretty Grange Over Sands,the hosts Liam and lyn were so friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble, our room was clean tidy and very spacious we loved the superking bed, we were on the ground floor facing the car park opposite with a view of the lovely trees surrounding it, it was very quiet we slept really well, it has a lovely decorated dinning room which served a varied choice for breakfast ranging from cereal, fruit, yoghurt which you can help yourself to and a full English fry up which was cooked to perfection every morning, we would have no hestation in recommending the Elton guesthouse we had such enjoyable experience there, thanks again Liam and lyn :-)

Elton is a very friendly guest house only a few minutes walk from town and the railway station. Our room was really clean, comfortable and a good size and we were well looked after by our exceptionally helpful hostess who was a mine of useful information and provided us with an excellent breakfast every morning.We would have no hesitation staying there again if we were in the area.

We stayed here for three nights in a superior room.Wonderful, attentive, informative hosts, nothing too much trouble.The guest house is a beautiful old building.Our bedroom was spacious with a king size comfy bed, a seating area and all mod cons. A separate lounge for the guests is also available. Everywhere was spotlessly clean.Breakfast was excellent.Quality food cooked well. Apart from the full English breakfast there was a good selection of fresh fruits,cereals, yogurts etc and a wide range of beverages.The guest house is a couple of hundred yards from the main high street, the railway station and the promenade.A big bonus..... there is a car park directly across the road from the guest house and permits are available from the hosts for a very small charge.The location is a great base to explore the nearby Lake District and other seaside towns.This was our first visit to the area and we were well impressed.Highly recommended to other travellers.If we return to Grange over Sands we would definitely opt to stay at The Elton Guest House.Well done Lyn and Liam....you are doing a grand job!!!

Two night stay at Elton after arriving by train. Close to the station so very convenient. We had a comfortable room overlooking the beautiful garden. A wildlife paradise! Lyn and Liam were great hosts with lots of local knowledge to enable us to make the best of the area. We were made to feel like we were visiting friends in their lovely home. Chose to stay here as we were doing the Morecambe Bay Cross Bay Walk. Railway station within easy walking distance at the top of the road and the train takes 5 minutes to travel to starting point at Arnside. Turn the other way and you are on the main street with all the shops, gardensand promenade. Lyn and Liam were very warm, welcoming and wonderful hosts and made sure we had an early breakfast before going off on our adventure and provided extra towels ready for our return. Breakfast was lovely and very tasty with perfect poached eggs. Due to unforseen circumstances we had to leave before breakfast on our final day and they seemed genuinely disappointed and went out of their way to provide us with a lunch bag with some food for the road. Our room was spotlessly clean with a garden view. We also used the large lounge to relax at the end of the day and watched TV and played dominoes. Lyn had said that badgers visit their garden and she came to let us know so we could see them too. It was a very special end to a great day. Parking directly opposite. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Lovely place to stay. Good position and ample parking opposite. Inside is clean and comfortable. We had a bedroom backing onto the garden which was very quiet and pretty. Spotlessly clean bedroom and en suite. Breakfast was delicious and the owner was friendly and welcoming. We will certainly be back.

Arrived Friday and was shown to our room, having sorted a parking permit for our stay. A lot cheaper than paying at the car park. Spent a couple of days,linn was a fantastic host.the location is perfect for anywhere in the lakes to get to.the room was excellent with a view over the garden where we were treated to a sighting of a family of badgers close up.breakfast was very nice to set you up for the day. Beautiful building on arrival. Liam and Lyn couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming , comfortable rooms ,fabulous breakfast ,they even feed the badgers at night which you can watch from the rooms .Fab knowledge on the area and surroundings ,it was my birthday during the stay and I was welcomed by cake with a candle and the Minions singing me Happy Birthday at breakfast :) Attention to detail is second to none we felt at home throughout and would def recommend a stay here if looking to stay in Grange over Sands :)

I stayed here for two nights and had a very enjoyable stay. My room was warm and comfortable, and the ensuite shower and toilet was excellent - plenty of hot water! The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean and quiet. The owners are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, and their breakfast was excellent - cooked to order and really tasty. It is conveniently located for the railway station if, like me, you were without a car, and it is a short walk into what passes for a town centre in Grange-Over-Sands. I can recommend the Elton Guest House as a great choice, and I was very happy indeed.

We stayed here for 2 nights and I am so glad I went with the reviews and booked this charming guest house. Our room was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed - extra large bed, tv, shower, bath and tea and coffee making facilities. It is just on the edge of the Main Street and within a very short walk of the shops, restaurants, parks and promenade.Lyn and Liam, the owners are a lovely couple who have the running of a guest house down to a tee! Nothing is too much trouble, the breakfasts are wonderful and they made our stay a delight!We will definitely be returning and I thoroughly recommend this fantastic place to stay.

We would highly recommend Elton Guest House, every need was catered for by the lovely owners Lyn and Liam they are a very friendly couple nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was superb. An extra treat was being able to see a beautiful badger that comes into the garden with his family, thanks Lyn for giving us a knock when he was there. Grange and the surrounding area has some breathtaking views, we are returning next month and have recommended Elton Guest House to friends as well.

We enjoyed our two nights at the Elton immensely.The hospitality was first rate with a warm welcome from Lyn and Liam.Very comfortable room with grandstand view of the local badgers visiting after dusk.Located just a short walk from the ornamental gardens and promenade made it ideal for us with our limited walking range.Highly recommended.

Super hosting lively room and breakfast

Lyn and Liam made us feel very welcome in their home, we had a fantastic comfortable stay and hearty breakfast with a room at the back onto the garden and woods, ideal for us to watch the wildlife.Nothing was too much trouble. Will we be back yes in a flash our long awaited holiday due to Covid restrictions was just brilliant, just what we needed and we cannot wait to return next year.

My husband and I have just returned from a short 3 night stay at the Elton Guest House, we found it a very good place to stay, room was spotlessly clean, also a good size, overlooking a lovely garden, it was very close to rail station and bus stops which was good for us as we had not travelled by car. Lyn and Liam are a warm, friendly couple, who try very hard to please their guests, breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day ahead. Grange is a pretty place to stay with a lovely promenade and nice gardens lining it. We would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation.

The property was absolutely spotless and sensible Covid-19 precautions were in place and rigidly adhered to. The twin room was compact but comfortable, Breakfast was lovely, wide choice of cereal, fruit and yogurt, all served at the table and the cooked breakfast was beautifully prepared. The hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely welcome, clean, comfortable, reasonably priced and a good sized bedroom with a superking bed. Small bathroom but adequate, clean and plenty of hot water. Tastefully decorated, quiet and a great location for exploring Grange and the surrounding area. Good breakfast, plenty of choice.

The house was well presented, the location excellent and our room at the back was blissfully quiet. Breakfast was beautifully cooked using local ingredients with a good choice all round. Parking opposite was very handy and good value at £2.50 per day using the permit. The information board was really helpful with menus for all the local restaurants. Great to see the badger coming for supper every evening! Thank you for a warm welcome and for being so helpful.

Lyn and Liam are wonderful hosts, very warm and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, very clean and the decor lovely. En-suite facilities good, lovely fluffy towels. Extra little touches are nice too. Breakfast was superb, plenty of choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yogurt and of course the full English. I particularly liked the sausage….locally sourced and delicious. If Lyn recommends the slow cooked beef brisket at a local restaurant, feel obliged to try it….it is excellent. The pay and display car park across the road is an added bonus but remember to ask Lyn for the permit. It’s MUCH cheaper than paying the hourly rate.!! All in all a wonderful, comfortable stay and we would highly recommend. The Elton B&B fully deserves it’s high rating and we look forward to visiting again.

Our room was lovely and spacious with a comfy bed. Lynn was very welcoming and offered lots of advice on the local area and suggestions of places to visit and places to eat. Parking across the road at a great price purchased from the guest house.Elton Guest House is in an excellent position to reach lots of attractions and towns in the local area (we got around by car but other guests used public transport, which seemed to be very plentiful and reliable).It was my birthday whilst I was staying and they made it extra special for me, which was very much appreciated.A very enjoyable stay and I’m sure we will be back.

I had an enjoyable stay at Elton guest house. The service was great and helpful, the room was clean and lovely.

I stayed 4 nights and had the ground floor room suited to less able guests.Liam and Lynne could not have been more welcoming, and Liam helped me with my luggage from the Station.Lynne was very attentive to my needs. The house is attractive with colourful plants in front which are a recent addition. I thought the room spacious and very pleasant. Lynne explained the beds could be together or separate: when together, there would I think be very adequate room to manipulate a wheelchair.There is a full-length mirror on the wardrobe doors. I did find the chairs a bit heavy if one needed to alter the angle: in a room for the less able, it might be better to have lighter ones even if they didn't look as good, but I appreciated having them and the size of the room, travelling alone. Any negatives for me were very small: I would have liked an iron but I understand Lynne's point of view, and she did the ironing for me! which saved me when tired and needing to go out and find some food! As meals out can be a bit difficult in the locality, especially with COVID restrictions, it would have been easier to be able to have a take-away in the room, but it is common for guest houses not to allow this.Lynne did say that on the first night she would make an exception if necessary, so they evidently are sometimes prepared to be flexible.One needs to be aware that the easiest way to get a main meal is to eat before 3.30 which is when the majority of places stop serving. This does not necessarily go well with a large cooked breakfast! However there are a few options in Grange and even when further afield I did find somewhere eventually. It was harder being high season than on a previous visit in March. Watch the bus times back from Kendal if going beyond, as there is a big gap mid-evening! (and no trains!) However my Explorer ticket mentioned by Lynne worked very well to get me to Ambleside and Grasmere. The location is very convenient, right near the Station and buses also go from the Station.They can be picked up across the town, but I think I preferred this side, after staying across town previously: it was much easier for all travelling. There is a pleasant park with a duck pond! which is extremely close.For breakfast there was plenty of choice, I was offered extra coffee and on one day I even had extra bacon! The first day I had breakfast brought to my room: toast, muesli, milk and coffee. This was really nice.I did think the cost a bit high, but for the area it is probably in tune with everywhere else. The standard was good, everything worked, plenty of hot water, good bed! I had a very enjoyable stay, and would recommend the guest house, especially if travelling without a car or needing a ground floor room.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elton Guest House. The hosts Lynne and Liam were excellent they made our stay comfortable and enjoyable.

From the moment we stepped through the door it was clear that the owners have invested a 'lot of love' into their business. Their natural hospitality made our short stay relaxed and memorable.Our room was spotlessly clean and the facilities very modern in this beautiful Victorian House. Great wifi, piping hot water and all the usual facilities you would expect in a guest house of this high standard.Full range of breakfast food with plentiful supply of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals, tea and coffee. The cooked English breakfast was locally sourced and promptly cooked, Nothing was too much trouble.I will certainly return in the future and it's location is perfect for the South Lakes.I cannot fault the Elton Guest House and would struggle to find a b and b again of this standard. One point of note is that the house is on three floors and would check with the owners before booking that they can accommodate you on a lower floor if you struggle to climb up or down them.

A gem of a B&B. Lynne the host was excellent and nothing was too much trouble, such as making dinner reservations for us and rearranging our visit when we had to self isolate on our previous planned dates. The room was light and airy with a comfy super king size bed. The breakfast was also excellent with a good selection of choice.

This is a really lovely guesthouse, well located just off Grange High Street and an easy stroll from the station. The welcome is warm and friendly and our room (room 6 on the top floor) was spacious, immaculately clean and very comfortable. Breakfasts in the airy dining room are generous and tasty - you have to try the sausages!We will be back.

First guests back after being released from lockdown, to take a short break postponed from November .Couldn't wish for better hosts in Lyn and Liam. When Lyn found out we were originally having a short break for a birthday she produced 2 lovely pieces of cake, a very nice treat.The room was very clean and comfortable with a view over the garden, where we saw the Badger in the late evening . Covid precautions are in place.Excellent breakfast cooked by Liam with plenty of choice hot or cold.Parking is available conveniently directly opposite.Lyn booked tables for us to eat out and gave us advice on where to visit, even somewhere for us to visit on the way home.We wouldn't hesitate to highly recommend the Elton and we will return in the future.

Hugely enjoyable two night stay. Even the wettest weekend you could possibly imagine couldn't dampen the spirit!Lyn & Liam are great hosts. The accommodation itself is spotlessly clean and well maintained. In these unusual times, pleased to report that both Claire and I felt safe given the Covid restrictions in place.Special mention goes to breakfast. Lyn & Liam made us very welcome and are natural hosts.Room was impressive (wife particularly liked the super king bed....wonder why?)Shower worked well, which is always a plus, testament to good plumbing when the top floor showers are piping hot with good water pressure.Breakfast was great, table service to meet covid-19 requirements. You can taste the effort put into the food. I particularly liked the fresh fruit salad & yoghurt. You have to plan a long walk after the fab full English.If you like wild life, the garden backs onto the woods with a better than average chance of seeing Badgers and DeerParking was across the road so no issues there. A great guest house. The hosts were excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They even offered to book restaurants for us to save us the hassle. The room was spotlessly clean and the cooked breakfast was spot on. Grange over sands is a lovely quiet location with a beautiful mile long promenade along the seafront- perfect place for us to use as a base to exploring the lakes. We would not hesitate to come again.

Fantastic place to stay for our 3 night break.Close to shops, restaurants and train station.Lovely walks on the promenade and a couple of cafes where you can get a drink or a bite to eat.The guesthouse is spotless and the breakfast was delicious.The ground floor room we stayed in was lovely with a large bed and tastefully decorated.Lyn and Liam were fantastic and gave us lots of information about things to do and places to visit in the area.Will definitely be going back in the future.

We stayed at Elton Guest House for a weekend, travelling together with our son and his partner (both in their late 20s). Lyn and Liam were very attentive and made us feel really at home. We all enjoyed the big comfy beds in the bedrooms and the cosy atmosphere in dining area, while having delicious breakfast. Lyn gave us some really good advice about local places to go for a bite or drink and we loved the stories about the badger family visiting their back yard. Grange is a lovely place and we are definitely coming back!

Perfect location for us to walk into the centre, park and promenade; with a car park just across the road.The room was lovely and clean, with fluffy towels in the bathroom and a nice comfortable, large bed.We had a view over the garden and Liam told us a badger family came at night to eat the peanuts they threw out for them.We didn’t really expect to see them, but right on cue they appeared out of the darkness eating just under our window each evening!Breakfast was delicious!Due to coronavirus, we were asked to wear face masks in the corridor until we got to our table and from there Lyn was very attentive bringing over everything we might want - cereal, toast, yoghurt, coffee, full English, orange juice.It really was one of the best breakfasts we’ve had!Lyn was very helpful in suggesting places to visit during the day, and where to eat at night.She also offered us glasses/bottle opener to use whilst sitting at the picnic table at the front of the guest house, which was very pleasant.We had a very enjoyable 3 days and would definitely go back to Elton Guest House.

The whole experience was absolutely fantastic. The location is ideal, literally minutes away from the centre. We were blown away by our room; very good size, clean, all the facilities you could wish for, and an amazingly big, comfy bed. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. Lynne and Liam were exceptional hosts and they run a fantastic place - they are also very knowledgeable of the local area so know all the best places to visit. The main reason i choose to stay here was due to its proximity to the wedding venue we were attending and the parking.On arrival we thought it looked a bit old fashioned from the outside but as we discovered you should never judge a book by its cover.Inside is warm and moderm and we were greeted by Lynn along with tea and cake. We had room 6... very spacious with a superking bed... settee , armchairs and a lovely ensuite shower room. We really liked the guest lounge on the first floor which we used to watch the rugby.Good choice of breakfast items including a very tastful full English.Plenty of information as to places to visit and activities in the area as well as recommendations re restaurants etc. Liam assisted my husband by putting an extra hole in his belt. Location is quiet and within a short walk of the station and the town itself. Highly recommended.

So pleased to have discovered the Elton Guest House.We really enjoyed our stay and the hosts could not have been more welcoming.We thought the breakfasts were superb!!Our room was on the top floor, but we found the stairs easy to manage, and there are ground floor rooms for those who might otherwise struggle.A long, level sea-front promenade is close by with wonderful views of Morecambe bay.We recommend this gem of a guest house very highly.

We stayed four nights in this very comfortable guest house. We enjoyed our stay very much, on arrival we were greeted by Lyn with a welcome cup of tea and delicious muffin. Breakfast cooked by Liam set us up for the day. Lyn and Liam are great hosts with a wealth of local knowledge. Our room was very comfortable and there is a very pretty sitting room to relax in as well. The guest house is in a great location for the town’s amenities, Grange over Sands itself is a lovely town with many interesting shops. Our family who were staying nearby thought it was great too.

We had a lovely room overlooking the back garden. The beds were very comfortable. Everything you needed for a stay was there. Tea & coffee making available and nice soft fluffy towels. We were on a cycling holiday and needed somewhere to stay on our return journey.We found this gem of a guest house.Lynn and Liam made us very welcome and were on hand with a welcome cup of coffee and a delicious cake as soon as we arrived.Storing our bikes was no problem and local information was abundant.Our room was luxurious and very comfortable, with a very big bed to sleep in as an added bonus.Breakfast was freshly prepared and plentiful.We would recommend others to stay here if heading to Grange over Sands.

Lovely stay, rooms well decorated and comfy , lovely cup of tea coffee and muffin offered when we arrived . Breakfast was all options from cereal to full breakfast ,lovely and fresh . Lyn and Liam are great hosts . Would highly recommended and we would stay again in the area .

Lyn and Liam were great hosts, nothing was too much trouble, Lyn booked us a table for a meal and when there was a mix up with the day rebooked for us. The house is lovely, immaculately clean and the room was a very good size. The location is ideal with a latte car park opposite the house, Lyn and Liam pay for car parking passes for guests which is great. Altogether a fantastic stay thank you very much.

Our stay was so enjoyable, we wished we could have stayed longer than our 3 nights. Our room was beautifully renovated to a very high standard, the whole house was spotless and we had a lovely selection of fresh fruit and locally supplied food at breakfast.

My stay at the Elton guest house was perfect! Before arrival, my group had to alter our rooms and this was no trouble at all. When we arrived we were greeted with a lovely welcome and complementary tea, coffee and cake. Nothing was too much trouble, even ironing our shirts before the wedding we were attending! Rooms were spotless, breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Lyn and Liam made us feel completely at home and I can highly recommend staying here.

The Elton guest house is the best guest house my wife and I have ever stayed in . We enjoyed a lovely night in their fantastically refurbished rooms which were extremely clean. The breakfast was fabulous and the owners, Lynn and Liam were so welcoming and could not do enough for us. They advised us about were to eatAnd what to see in the area. We can not recommend this guest house highly enough and we will certainly be going back with our 2 boys in the future.

Highly recommended if you’re staying in Grange, very central guest house with convenient parking across the road. Immaculately decorated and spotlessly clean accommodation, and very friendly host and hostess, Lyn and Liam. We were offered tea and muffins on arrival and made to feel very welcome. Very good breakfast the next morning, with a view to the lovely rear garden. You can’t go wrong with this one!

Wonderful stay fabulous hosts met me on arrival and offered me coffee and a muffin just what i needed after the train journey. Very comfortable room with all that i needed inside comfy bed and a lovely breakfast in the morning. Great value for money and well worth a stay if in the area.

Lyn and Liam are the most amazing and attentive hosts; they had coffee and cakes at arrival, were always friendly, remembered how we wanted our breakfasts, were so good with our children, and had a lot of information and tips for our outings. They really above and beyond! Elton house has a homey feel, yet the rooms are spacious and well-kept with all the comforts you could want. Grange-over-sands is a small town with a lovely promenade and nice gardens. It was not crowded with tourists. There is a train station so you can get around even without a car. We will definitely stay here again if we're in the area!

Elton Guest House was perfectly positioned for our recent business trip to the area and we when we arrived we were greeted by Lyn, who made us very welcome.Our twin room was very clean, comfortable, well provisioned and had a great bathroom. From the moment we arrived till we left, we were made extremely welcome by Lyn and Liam.The guest house has a relaxing atmosphere with every comfort we needed. Liam and Lyn have done everything possible to make this guesthouse a perfect place to stay. We stayed in the top room with an excellent view overlooking the garden and trees. A free parking pass is available to park across the road. We were also directed to some good local pubs/restaurants less than 5 mins drive. Totally recommend it.

Kind and friendly.Our hosts were so helpful and willing to wait for our kinda late arrival.We kept calling to let them know that we were on our way.We got a great tour of their property and they showed us their plans for remodel and updating.Lovely personal garden in the rear for them, (not for guests) but they didn't mind showing us what they were doing with their recently purchased bed and breakfast (lodge).Would stay they again if I ever went there again.

Perfect Lake District Guest House.Great location (particularly for Carmel Races), stylish, spacious rooms, great breakfast (including a sausage for our dog, Ralph!). Lyne and Liam are great hosts and could have not been more helpful, providing good local advice and even booking a table for us at a Delete repeated word pub for supper.

The couple who own the guest house were very friendly and gave us good information about the area.We found the place very clean ,the bed was too comfortable we did,nt want to get up. There was a very good selection of food for breakfast,and the full English was cooked to perfection. We would certainly stay there again.
